ZWrestleTalk's Owner Triple Z gives his thoughts on the latest WrestleMania card, Eric Young and Bobby Roode leaving TNA, Why TNA might be saved, and on Vince McMahon being out of touch with the NXT brand. It Doesn't Feel Like WrestleMania At All...
The other matches that have not been confirmed like League of Nations VS The New Day just seem out of place. WWE just seems lazy with this WrestleMania season. It's like they want us to always be frustrated with them. They need to find a way to elevate talent. WWE is getting to a point where the reliance on part timers is losing it's special value. Bobby Roode and Eric Young leaving TNA? It isn't that surprising!Bobby Roode cited that he left TNA because the product was "stale" and he is right. Bobby Roode is too talented to be wasted on a show where the World Champion by week. Roode has been one of the rare bright spots for Impact Wrestling and now that he is gone it is going to become more unwatchable. As I am not a fan of Eric Young, he is a very smart man to leave TNA. "But…But TNA guys make more money then NXT guys and Indy wrestlers!!!" Yes that statement above might be semi-true. Roode at this point of his career, if he has financed and saved his money correctly, he could go out on the limb and go to different promotions. Bobby Roode could be the next star in Japan and make a lot of Yen. NXT could add more former TNA talent with Bobby Roode. Sadly though Bobby Roode is 39 so NXT is most likely out of the picture. Eric Young is 36 so he could go either way. I personally see Eric Young working the independent scene and in Lucha Underground. The development of this story leaves many questions for TNA. TNA Might Be Saved Due to Having More Cash RoomWith the recent releases of Eric Young and Bobby Roode. TNA could be opening the door to push a smaller roster and also have the possibilities of signing two different stars. TNA currently is lead by Ethan Carter III, Drew Galloway, and Lashley. Also with veteran talents like The Hardy Boys and Abyss, TNA might be on it's way to be passable again. Yet with bad leadership from Dixie Carter, TNA has become a laughing stock. TNA also is unhinged creatively with no flow or time to tell a coherent storyline. TNA just has a outlandish roster without any star power. Josh Mathews and The Pope are terrible on commentary. The company has so many problems but i will still be alive because some how it isn't having any financial struggles... NXT is a hot brand, Vince McMahon is jealousNXT is a fantastic brand that is growing a separate audience. NXT brings a younger and hipper vibe to pro wrestling. Vince McMahon has treated NXT stars poorly when they arrive to the main roster. Also the creative team led by Ranjin Singh sucks massively for them. I mean the Ascension were great in NXT. What happened? Tyler Breeze flourished as a bonafide heel. What happened? NXT is a valuable brand and to say it doesn't have any star power is delusional. Vince is just mad because it wasn't his idea. It was a idea made by Triple H, which became very successful. Without Vince McMahon having a say in the creative direction in NXT. Look how far NXT has come from elevating stars. NXT is on the rise and they have many stars that could help out the main roster. Plus the main roster needs some trimming (article on that coming sometime soon) for it can have space for the talents. Vince needs to wake up and realize what is in front of him.
