Today on ZWrestleTalk! Dom Bouchard grades the bizarre WWE Fastlane event! #WWEFastlane KICK OFF MATCH UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Kalisto (C) vs Alberto Del Rio Good match! Alberto Del Rio is extremely aggressive and gets disqualified for using a chair then pins Kalisto, and here we go for a nice stretch of action that led to the finish and a win by Kalisto. Good action and the chemistry was there this time around. Grade B- DIVAS TAG TEAM MATCH Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs Tamina and Naomi Fast paced match but nothing spectacular… Becky and Sasha showed early dissension but were able to work together and Sasha made Tamina tap out! Grade B- INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Kevin Owens (C) vs Dolph Ziggler What an amazing performance by these two amazing wrestlers. Dolph and KO can't do wrong and their chemistry is over the top. KO is the best heel in the WWE by far. All the little nuances, the way he talk to Cole, his mannerisms, thrash talk. They also know each other well enough to be creative every time they face each other. Again another match that will steal the show. Kevin Owens wins with a very stiff popup power bomb. Dolph sold it like he was shot! Amazing. Grade A Ryback and Big Show and Kane vs The Wyatt Family with Bray Wyatt Surprisingly a very good back and forth match between these guys. Ryback was on fire tonight and seemed to have fun. Hopefully he didn't injure Harper with the botched shellshock for the win. Wyatts lose. What's new? Grade B for the match Grade E for WWE creative DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Charlotte (C) vs Brie Bella Charlotte did the best she could to carry Brie to a passable match. Brie worked hard and even did a beautiful top rope dropkick. Charlotte managed to win the hard fought battle. Grade C Chris Jericho vs AJ Styles Y2J and the Phenomenonal One clash in a hard fought battle. Two veterans with a chip on their shoulders. Y2J to prove he still can hang with the best in the business and Styles to prove he can make it in the WWE. Styles is very crisp and Jericho can still sell and even though he is not as fast as he was, can still perform at a high level. Slow paced but solid action, AJ sells real well and the fact that Jericho dominated most of the match made it clear Styles would somehow steal the victory. Styles clash and a kick out. Calf crusher and tapout AJ Styles wins! Grade B+ Cutting Edge Peep Show with The New Day Very funny exchange between the 5 guys and then The League of Nations came out. New Day left and the League started insulting Edge and Christian. Is it the face turn of the New Day? Grade D Curtis Axel vs R Truth Really. What's up? A roll up by Axel after Goldust's attempt to help truth backfired. Grade E #1 CONTENDERS MATCH, WINNER FACES TRIPLE H AT WRESTLEMANIA 32 Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar Brock took Dean and Roman to Suplex City early on. Brock was delivering suplex after suplex until a spear by Reigns followed up by a lowblow by Dean. They then preceded to power bomb him through the announcers table. Then Dean attacked Roman and again they powerbombed Brock through another announcer's table.Dirty Deeds! Kickout by Reigns! Lesnar suplexed them both. Kimura lock on Reigns but he powers out .Chairshots by Dean on both men. A couple second later, Roman Reigns spears Dean Ambrose. It's all over!!!! Winner Roman Reigns Grade A Follow @domghosthunter Follow @ZWrestleTalk Editor's Note: Well surely after a wild and fan-upsetting Fastlane, RAW tonight should change the mood. WWE is starting off the night with the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award. Maybe Vince gives it to his friend and WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump? Last night, people called the event a let down. Which isn't true it was just the man at the end. Roman Reigns is the one equation WWE and the fans can't solve. Other then a predictable and a disappointing outcome. Fastlane was still very good, and WWE has us reeled in. No one is going to Boycott WrestleMania. It just sucks because the fans of Dallas deserve a better and bigger main event.

Follow @ZWrestleTalk Follow @domghosthunter In todays ZWrestleTalk Exclusive, I will recap the interview ZWrestleTalk's own Dom Bouchard had with one half of the Nasty Boys, Jerry Sags. Highlights from Part 1Dom Bouchard has been a long time friend of Jerry Sags. They recently have reconnected and for the first time in 20 years they will have a discussion. Dom: Do you have any memories of Curt Hennig? Jerry Sags: He was a great mentor to me. Curt was young in the business at the time, but he took his time and helped us with the business. He was teaching us the old school ways of things. Curt really was a fantastic mentor and helped us with our development. Dom: That's awesome! Thats what you hear through the years. You always hear about how Curt Hennig was just a simple guy. He was ahead of his time and was fantastic in the ring. Curt Hennig was a tremendous talent and the best seller of all time. Jerry: He made sure we were brought up right. He also protected and helped out the younger guys. He made sure we were familiar with everybody. Dom: It must of been a tremendous honor to have the WWF Tag Team Titles at such a young age. The roster back then was way older then it is now. Jerry: By the time we got there.. We had six years…We had to pay our dues. Back then though they wouldn't stay at the same place as long. There were so many different territories to choose from. The business has changed. Dom: That's right you had a great return to WCW after your WWE run. Jerry: (laughing) Well we didn't voluntary leave…Vince McMahon said "GET OUT!!!" Jerry: Jerry Jarrett gave us a break after seeing us in Memphis, we started doing these crazy street fights. Vince McMahon wouldn't let us do that kind of stuff. Dom: Really??? No Jerry: Yeah, the only thing that got passed was doing a sneak attack, then we went back to WCW, they let us had the reigns and we had street fights with Cactus and Kevin Sullivan. It blew the roof off. Dom: Those matches were amazing! Jerry: We didn't call that Hardcore. Later on that would develop into the ECW guys and that bullish*t, where they would bring out a whole dumpster full of crap and they would just hit each other with stuff. We didn't do it like that, we used object in intricate parts of the match we still had a psychology but we used it in a regular type of match. Dom: You guys were the first Tag Team to insult the fans and wrestlers. Just imagine if you were there (WWE-WWF) during the Attitude Era. That would of been incredible! You were the first wrestlers to instill that "Attitude" it's great when you think about it! Jerry: We had to pull back on some things. We would take our time getting to the ring. There was one time that we took 20 minutes of doing crap before we even touched the other wrestlers. Dom: It's good. Like lets say your in the ring with the Steiner brothers. If you make them look good that means you made yourself look good. It's giving back. I remember the first time I saw you guys wrestle was in your first run with WCW and you were facing the Steiner brothers. I was very impressive you had great matches and they looked stiff as hell. Listen to the full Part One with Jerry Sags below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8geN-mVo7E **************************************************************************************************** Part IIDom: WOW! That part one 45 minutes felt like 5 minutes, I have never had a podcast where I didn't have to talk this much. I want to acknowledge the website that I have been able to contribute a quite of few articles lately, zwrestletalk.weebly.com, the owner of the website Zach had a couple of questions for you. First question was Do you still watch Wrestling today? Jerry: Not like I use too. I sorta watch the other night. I caught RAW and something caught my eye. Let me think of it… I should watch it more but I just don't watch it as much. I don't watch like I use too. You know what I mean? Dom: Totally understand, Zach also asked you the question "What was the darkest point of your career?" Jerry: What effected my career the most was when WCW was really changing and we didn't like it. It was a great place. It wasn't because of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Eric Bischoff wanted to make WCW another WWE. He didn't want wrestling he wanted character. A long story short. I got into a shove fight with Scott Hall during a match and that was the fall. It was a low point. Dom: I know and I remember that match. Was it totally the end of your WCW career at that point? Jerry: After Scott hit me in the ring. Something happened in another match. We were still under contract but we were left out of the picture until they let us go. Dom: Looking back and I always wanted to ask you. You won the Tag Team titles at WrestleMania. Not a lot of people can say that? You had a WrestleMania moment walk me through that day? Did you know you were going to beat the Hart Foundation. Jerry: No, It was wild. We spent time at the Hart house. Stu also took us into the Dungeon. We also wrestled Koko and Owen. Listen to the rest of Part Two below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd5QdsQHiPk Part IIIHighlights from Part Three include Jerry Sags talks about a road experience with Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and his relationship with Kerry Von Erich! Dom talks about how he was the driver for the old WWF wrestlers when they were in Montreal and even partied with them.
LISTEN HERE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kRkU1HHFiQ Follow @domghosthunter Follow @ZWrestleTalk Follow @TripleZ_87 ZWrestleTalk's Creator and Head Writer Triple Z gives his take on Daniel Bryan's retirement and how both the fans and Daniel Bryan were rigged of the storybook ending we all deserved! Daniel Bryan: He wasn't a flavor of the month. He was the man.On this weeks episode of Monday Night RAW, Daniel Bryan formally announced his retirement from the WWE. With rumors saying Daniel Bryan might head back to the Independent scene. You wonder if this retirement was a screw job on behalf of WWE. Even though Daniel Bryan returning to the independent scene is highly unlikely it could still happen.Rumors suggested back in January, Daniel Bryan wanted to be released to go back and wrestle on the independent scene. Hopefully Daniel Bryan is done for the sake of his health, though if Bryan Danielson makes a return to the ring it should only be for WWE. It's a travesty, Bryan never got the title reign he and the fans deserved. You can't blame Daniel Bryan, WWE absolutely overworked him. Bryan should of never been in a "Hardcore" feud with Kane right after winning the title at WrestleMania XXX. It's like WWE wanted disaster to strike... You probably are reading this and thinking that I am a conspiracy theorist. Well at least for this section of my piece. I will just ask logical questions about how after Bryan's first neck injury how he was treated.
When Daniel Bryan came back before WrestleMania 31, they should of capitalize on the hype. If Daniel Bryan was doomed to get re-injured at least put him in a match where the fans would make it memorable. Daniel Bryan VS Brock Lesnar A Technical Showdown. The Beast VS The Best. David VS Goliath. The only reason that match didn't happen was because of this question plus WWE being in massive love with Roman Reigns. "What if Daniel Bryan wins and then he gets injured again?" Well… At least fans witnessed a epic match at WrestleMania 31 and then you could do a Title Tournament on RAW. Instead none of the above happened. Daniel Bryan was put into a mid-card ladder match. Which a ladder match is way more dangerous then a one on one singles match even if it's against Brock Lesnar. Don't get me wrong I'm glad Daniel Bryan retired due to his health concerns. Daniel Bryan deserves to be able to walk around his whole life. The thing I am more frustrated with is that he was dedicated to the fans and put on a show every time he was in the ring. Daniel Bryan just deserved better luck and WWE did mismanage him during his time with the company but at the end they made the right call. Daniel Bryan changed the game for WWE. WWE started to change it's image starting with NXT. NXT has a roster of guys WWE would of never took a chance on if it wasn't for Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan has been the only wrestler to get me to jump off my couch ,and start a "YES" chant after he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Even though it's depressing how the "Era of Daniel Bryan" ended. It was one epic journey for all of us fans. Hopefully another Daniel Bryan comes to save WWE from the "Roman Empire." I'm looking at the guys in NXT to do that! #ThankYouDanielBryan Follow @TripleZ_87 on Twitter. Follow @ZWrestleTalk |
