 Triple Z discusses this year's historic Royal Rumble match and the consequences that follow. The list of confirmed Royal Rumble entrants is stacked. Let's take a look.
Currently there is only 13 participants announced for the Royal Rumble. We have three legit surprises (Goldberg, Undertaker, Lesnar) in this match. WWE should've saved at least one for a surprise but oh well. They must need the additional PPV buys. Then you have Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, and Chris Jericho in that "Possible Winners" category. What else is there left for Jericho to do? Let the living legend win the Royal Rumble. This could lead to the Jericho/Kevin Owens confrontation at WrestleMania. Also looking at Braun Strowman. This man is going to get pushed to the moon by WWE. I wouldn't be surprised to see Strowman win. A lot could happen from now til WrestleMania. We also have Fastlane that could throw curveball in everyone's predicted plans. Seth Rollins is only in the Royal Rumble to be screwed by Triple H. It's that obvious but I'm good with it. I don't expect Triple H to enter the actual match himself. I think it will just be more of a interference or distraction. WWE still has main event issues. The utilization of part timers is fine in my book. Although it does create hostile scenarios. Like if WWE plans are true. A Goldberg/Lesnar main event would be horrendous. Not even mentioning match quality just do to the fan interest. The fans will turn on the main event or the event in general. Let's take a look back at WrestleMania 32 one of the worst constructed pay-per-views in WWE history. Having Reigns/HHH main event was a massive error. The event also ran to long. The fans were dead by the time of main event. What if this happens with WrestleMania 33? Well it shouldn't. My perfect main event would be AJ Styles taking on the Undertaker. Due to the fact, Styles debuted in Orlando. So wouldn't it be the perfect homecoming? There are so many different pieces that go into this Royal Rumble. Remember that Goldberg and Lesnar are just in the Rumble to confront each other. I would expect these two to be out towards the end. Chris Jericho will be the Rumble conductor. Probably starting off the match very early. Strowman will be a destructive force throughout the match. I won't reveal who my pick is to win the Royal Rumble. Not until my Royal Rumble BreakDownZ. All I can say is that I currently have a top 3. These three are who I think could win the Royal Rumble.
Maybe they are building Goldberg for one last run with the title. Like he hinted at in one of his recent promos. That's why he makes the top 3 for me. Strowman is a monster and Jericho due to his storyline. Now to address the surprise possibilities. Kenny Omega is a possibility. It's very unlikely but it is still a possibility. There is also a possibility of less surprises this year due to the star power in the Rumble match. It's also been discussed that Samoa Joe may make his debut at the Royal Rumble. I'm just personally excited for the Royal Rumble it's one of WWE's best shows. How will WWE use the Royal Rumble to help create story lines for WrestleMania. Remember you also have the wildcard known as Roman Reigns. His involvement could screw up some things. Hopefully he will be placed into a good feud. WWE has a lot of options for WrestleMania.
